Boston is a Red Sox town, so it only makes sense that when an official A.L. East Championship banner fell off a truck en route to Fenway that two die hard Sawx fans were the ones to find it.
The best part of the story isn’t that the 44-year old Louie Iacuzzi and his pally Travis Anderson found the banner, it’s the two guys themselves. Boston is often parodied, but these two dudes from Malden are more incredible than anything in Good Will Hunting or anything Saturday Night Live could dream up.
In a video shot by the Boston Globe, the fellas proudly displayed their find, and were more than happy to return it to Fenway, if, ya know, the Sawx could scratch their backs with some playoff tickets or whatever. It turns out they ended up returning the banner to the team and got nothing in return. It’s time for Affleck, Damon, or Mark Wahlberg to step up and do the right thing. It’s the only solution.
