On one end of the coaching press conference spectrum is Bill Belichick, who treats the events like a hostage situation. On the other end is Mike Leach, for whom no tangent is off limits.
As he is known to do, Leach happily picked up a random line of thought and ran with it when the topic of which current Pac-12 coach would come out on top if all of them went at it in an all-out brawl. Leach handicapped the imaginary throwdown by naming Utah’s Kyle Whittingham and Arizona State’s Herm Edwards as the favorites because they’re in the best shape and defensive guys. Leach also said Oregon’s Mario Cristobal would be formidable, but said he wouldn’t count himself out either.
When asked which coach he feared the least, Leach didn’t bite. That was apparently a bridge too far. When it comes to which Pac-12 coach provides the best blog content, it’s safe to say Leach wins by a mile.
I know we’ve all wondered it, but if there was an all out brawl among the Pac-12 football head coaches, who would be the last coach standing? Here’s Mike Leach’s take: pic.twitter.com/CBguAAbn8r
