William “The Refrigerator” Perry started the trend of lining up massive lineman in the backfield during the historic ’85 Bears, but he was never a key part of the offensive attack. At Calumet High New Tech School in Gary, Indiana, 6’3” 350 lb Joshua Johnson isn’t a gimmick, he’s a key part of the offense.
Johnson, a Senior who goes by “Bubba” plays everything from quarterback, to running back, to defensive and offensive tackle, and is a bulldozer in cleats when he gets the ball running downhill. This kid runs the sweep like a freakin’ ballerina and also connected on a 99-yard score in the below video. Oh, he also hurdles a defensive lineman.
Bubba isn’t a five-star recruit, but he’s got to fit in somewhere if he can do everything. It’s fun to watch this kid wreck shop.
