Ever since news broke that Anthony Davis will not re-sign with the Pelicans and wants to be traded, NBA fans and media are already fantasizing about him pairing up with LeBron. They also think the Lakers should give up whatever it takes to get The Brow to L.A.
Colin thinks Davis is an amazing talent, but isn’t sure Davis and LeBron would be a great match, given James’ history turning big men like Kevin Love and Chris Bosh into shells of themselves, and Davis’ inability to stay healthy throughout his career. Davis has also only won one playoff series in now his seventh year in the league.
Even if the Lakers to do make the deal, Colin doesn’t think the they should give up all of their assets to get him like fans are prepared to do. Maybe LeBron and Davis do end up working out, but saying the deal puts them on the Warriors’ level is fanboy talk.
