Rams Head Coach Sean McVay is considered the next NFL coaching genius, but he got circles coached around him by the NFL’s resident coaching genius Bill Belichick in Super Bowl LIII.
McVay mentioned before the Super Bowl that he and Bill are text buddies, and the two met at midfield before kickoff to exchange some mutual respect in a conversation that was captured by NFL Films. McVay gave his props to Bill, and Belichick said McVay was “taking over.”
Belichick must really like the kid because he’s not really the chatty type before trying to bludgeon someone to death for a title. As for Mcvay, it looks like the “kill ’em with kindness” approach didn’t work out.
