As you may have heard if you’ve listened to the show at any time during the past week, Colin is 8-0 straight up and 6-1-1 ATS picking playoff games, and he’s looking to finish his scorching hot postseason tear with a clean sweep on Championship Weekend. Uncle Colin is en fuego. Stand back and enjoy the show.
Here are his AFC and NFC Championship game picks:
- Rams (+3.5) at Saints – The Rams are 6-2 on the road this year (13-3 overall under Sean McVay), and Colin likes them getting 3.5 on in New Orleans in what should be a nail biter. L.A. is healthier than any team left in the playoffs and averaging 36.3 PPG in last 3 games, with a league-high 232.3 rush YPG since Week 16.
The Rams defense has had its problems throughout the year, but is remarkably better with Aqib Talib in the lineup – he missed the Week 9 matchup between the two teams that the Saints won, 45-35. With Talib, L.A. is only allowing 17.8 PPG (30.8 without), 206.3 Pass YPG (272.6 without), and an opposing QB Passer Rating of 77.2 (111.6 without). Drew Brees has been inconsistent in the playoffs and an off quarter in this one could decide it. Rams cover with the 3 and win outright, 27-26.
2. Patriots at Chiefs (-3) – Colin is taking the Chiefs laying 3 at home in one of his favorite NFL picks of the year. The Chiefs have the better overall roster, more weapons, and are 8-1 at Arrowhead this season (32.3 PPG, 17.4 PPG Allowed, +11 turnover differential).
The Pats have been uncharacteristically bad on the road this year, going 3-5 (9-0 home), are only averaging 21.6 PPG (33.8 home), while allowing 24.0 PPG (17.9 home). Brady is a playoff legend, but is surprisingly only 3-4 in road playoff games in his career (20-3 home). New England’s dynasty isn’t dead, but their season is. K.C. covers the 3, 28-23.
Watch him explain why he likes these picks to cash:
