In the NFL, aside from the Patriots, championship teams get torn apart by losing coaches and coordinators, but in the NBA it’s usually due to competing egos.
Colin thinks the Draymond Green/Kevin Durant beef is a perfect example the short shelf life of big egos co-existing and marks the beginning of the end for the once seemingly invincible Golden State dynasty. In football, the team and system is always greater than the player, and even good players can easily be cut and replaced. In the NBA, the players have all the power, but the downside is they constantly need to be validated and need to get credit.
The Draymond/Durant drama is a perfect example of how NBA dynasties crumble, and it’s starting to come apart at the seems.
