Tom Brady won his sixth Super Bowl ring by beating the Rams in a 13-3 defensive struggle, and despite a 71 passer ratting Colin thinks it’s his most impressive championship to date because of his resourcefulness.
Brady didn’t have a monster statline, or even a touchdown pass, but made the biggest play of the game on a clutch pass to Gronk to set up the go-ahead score, and almost exclusively used Julian Edelman because Rams Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips took everything else away with a masterful gameplan.
The true test of greatness isn’t how someone performs when everything is perfect and ideal circumstances, it’s persevering when nothing is going right.
Brady has had better supporting casts, and better stats in the Super Bowl, but this win was the most impressive because nothing was working and he found a way to get it done.
