City of Wheaton officials on July 18 debated Aldi's plans to install a larger monument sign in front of its store as part of an expansion project. A female postal worker was taken to the hospital after being stung multiple times by Hornets while out on her mail route in Wheaton. The woman was delivering mail in the 900 block of Dartmouth Drive when she was attacked by the Hornets. Wheaton event offers assistance to veterans in need

Veterans in need are being urged to attend an event next week at the DuPage County Fairgrounds where they can get job and legal assistance and receive free food, clothing, haircuts and medical exams. WCKG broadcasts from sunrise to sunset on AM 1530 and 24/7 on 102.3 FM, iHeartRadio, Audacy, WCKG.com, and the free WCKG Apps on both Android and Apple devices.  WCKG is licensed to the City of Elmhurst and reaches the Chicago radio market. WCKG also simulcasts on a low power FM translator broadcasting from Elmhurst on 102.3 FM. The FCC allows parent company DuPage Radio, LLC to split up AM 1530 and 102.3 FM this October. W272DQ was granted a construction permit to move their 102.3 FM to the top of Trump Tower in downtown Chicago. WCKG was granted approval to increase power of AM 1530 from 760 watts to 4,000 watts. WCKG provides affordable and effective radio advertising to Chicago area businesses.
