Over the weekend, Bill Belichick and Tom Brady won their sixth Super Bowl together, and Ravens great Ed Reed was deservedly inducted into the Hall of Fame. Back in 2010, Belichick and Brady were preparing to face the Ravens in the Wild Card Round, and it was Reed who was first and foremost on their minds.
An old behind the scenes video shows the two G.O.A.T.’s sitting down together in Belichick’s office and preparing their gameplan by watching film on Baltimore and specifically Reed. Belichick may not heap praise on his guys very often, but he’s blown away watching the film on Reed stalking the secondary.
It didn’t work because the Ravens went into Foxboro and blew out the Patriots, 33-14. This clip is worth the watch just to see how the two gameplan, but also because it shows the respect Reed commanded as the best safety in the game at the time.
