Iconic British singer/songwriter Joe Cocker has passed away at the age of 70. The Yorkshire Post reports that he Cocker died after a battle with lung cancer in Sheffield, England.
The singer’s agent Barrie Marshall tells the U.K.’s BBC News, the British-born rocker is “simply unique” and “it will be impossible to fill the space he leaves in our hearts.” The raspy-voiced singer is best known for hits such as “You Are So Beautiful,” his cover of the Beatles’ hit “With A Little Help From My Friends” and his 1980s duet with Jennifer Warnes “Up Where We Belong.”
